Turkish Ministry of Culture & Tourism shines at The World Travel Awards...

The 19th edition of The World Travel Awards (WTA), also known as the “Oscars of the Travel Industry”, hosted at the new Conrad Algarve, Portugal on Saturday, 6th October 2012 awarded Turkey as "The Best in Europe" in 14 different categories.

The World Travel Awards 2012 rated the Turkish Ministry of Culture & Tourism as Europe’s Leading Tourist Board. The award for Europe's Leading Cruise Destination went to Izmir, a metropolis in Turkey. The awards also acknowledged Turkey’s hotel sector. Various hotels won awards at the ceremony as listed below:
